Judge Martin H. Schreiber II
Judge Martin “Marty” Schreiber is a lifelong resident of Baltimore. Before his appointment to the bench, Judge Schreiber was an attorney in private practice for 30 years. He represented clients from all walks of life and handled various cases, from traffic tickets to complex corporate litigation. Judge Schreiber also taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland School of Law.
For his legal work and service to the profession, Judge Schreiber received the Leadership in Law Award from the Maryland Daily Record, the Award for Legal Excellence in the Advancement of the Rights of the Disadvantaged from the Maryland Bar Foundation, and the Dickens Warfield Fair Housing Award for Outstanding Dedication and Service to Justice in Housing from Baltimore Neighborhoods, Inc. Judge Schreiber was named to the Top 100 List and as one of the Best Lawyers in America (Commercial Litigation and Criminal Defense - White Collar) by Super Lawyers, a ranking service recognizing the top attorneys nationwide and a resource for those in need of legal counsel.
Judge Schreiber served on the boards of the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service, Baltimore Neighborhoods, Inc., and the University of Maryland School of Law Alumni Association. He graduated from Gilman School and holds degrees from Columbia University and the University of Maryland School of Law.
In his spare time, Judge Schreiber enjoys biking in Druid Hill Park, rooting for the Orioles and Ravens, and spending time with his wife of 30 years, a veterinarian in Baltimore City.
